Supervisor Nguyen presents a resolution on behalf of the Board of Supervisors at the Gift of History luncheon at the Bowers Museum in Santa Ana. The luncheon honored Senator Marian Bergeson for her incredible leadership and many accomplishments as the first woman ever to serve in both the California State Assembly and California State Senate, a member of the California State Legislature from 1978 to 1995, a member of the Orange County Board of Supervisors from 1995 to 1996, and California State Secretary of Education from 1996 to 1999.

	During the opening of the Central County Senior & Caregiver Expo, Supervisor Janet Nguyen presents one of two “Central County Senior of the Year” awards to Graciela Silva of Santa Ana. The other award was given to Maria Cornejo of Santa Ana.
	The 3rd Annual Central County Senior & Caregiver Expo saw over 1,500 in attendance at the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove. Participants had the opportunity to receive free services such as glucose and bone density screenings, attend wellness workshops, take aerobic-themed dance lessons and receive information on senior-related services.
	The Townsend-Raitt Street Fair was attended by well over a thousand Santa Ana residents, with the Recycling Pavilion serving as a prime attraction. Several organizations worked together with the Office of Supervisor Janet Nguyen and OC Waste & Recycling to make this pavilion a huge success.
