Santa Anita Neighborhood Hosted Operation Gobble
|

Last Saturday, to kick-off the Thanksgiving preparations, the Santa Anita Neighborhood and Team Andrew Do hosted Operation Gobble at the Santa Anita Center! Felipe Guerrero, the Santa Ana Police Department, and I passed out over 250 turkeys to residents! This event was the perfect way to get into the Thanksgiving spirit. Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!

Garden Grove Main Library Celebrates their 50th Anniversary

Fifty years ago, OC Public Libraries' Garden Grove Main Library opened its doors to our community. The library provides educational information, informative classes, community resources, and has served countless youth in Garden Grove. Thank you, Branch Manager Sean Whittle, for hosting an incredible celebration and the Garden Grove High School Orchestra Chamber Strings for the great music!

More than 2,500 Medical Treatments Provided at the County’s Largest Health Fair
|

Last month, more than 2,500 medical treatments were provided to patients accessing free health care, dental care, and other medical services as part of Orange County’s largest annual health fair held at Mile Square Park in conjunction with VPASC (Vietnamese Physicians Association of Southern California). Board of Supervisors Proclaim November as Adoption Awareness Month
|

During last Tuesday’s board meeting, my colleagues and I proclaimed November 2019 as Adoption Awareness Month and presented a resolution to the County of Orange Social Services Agency and foster parent, Vanessa Acosta, in honor of all the adoptive parents who provide homes and the invaluable gifts of hope, love, and stability to children. Bella Vista / Central City / New Horizons Neighborhood Association Meeting

Last Monday, evening, Team Andrew Do attended the Bella Vista / Central City / New Horizons Joint Neighborhood Association meeting where U.S. Census Bureau officials informed residents about the importance of the 2020 census. Officer Vera, from the Santa Ana Police Department, listened to concerns from residents regarding city parking and other public safety concerns. Thank you, Bella Vista Neighborhood President, Leon Jacobs, for the invitation!

South Harbor Blvd. Neighborhood Coffee

During the South Harbor Blvd. Neighborhood Coffee at the Fountain Valley Library last week, I had the pleasure of meeting Lynne Savram, a retired elementary school teacher who served our Garden Grove students for 40 years! It was such a joy to meet her. She is a reminder of why I love doing these neighborhood coffees. Thank you to everyone who came out to our neighborhood coffee.
