OC Waste & Recycling Encourages Residents to Recycle Right in the New Year
|
To help alleviate some of the post-holiday stress, our friends at OC Waste & Recycling have some suggestions on how to recycle right and dispose of common holiday items no longer needed. - Ready to get that Christmas tree out of your house before it becomes a fire hazard? Contact your local hauler for information on tree pick-up.
- Need to get rid of old electronics to make way for the new ones? You can take items to one of OC’s four FREE Household Hazardous Waste Collection Centers.

Community Suicide Prevention Forum
|
When I first became a County Supervisor in 2015, I made mental health a priority of mine. In our ethnic communities, there is still stigma and shame around mental health needs. While we have made great strides in all of our communities in destigmatizing mental health treatment, we have much work to do.
On Saturday, January 11, Be Well Orange County will host the Community Suicide Prevention Forum in Newport Beach. If you cannot attend, join me that morning when we share the Facebook live video. We as a community must come together to let our young people know that its ok to open up about their depression, anxiety, and other mental health issues. Check out the flyer below for more information.
