Come Celebrate Tet Festival January 24-26 at Mile Square Park

Join me on January 24, 25, and 26 at Mile Square Park to celebrate Lunar New Year at the annual OC Tet Festival!

This year’s Lunar New Year marks a time of renewal, rejuvenation, and a time to remember our loved ones and our ancestors.

The OC Tet Festival is a wonderful cultural and entertainment event for families to celebrate new beginnings together. Visitors will have an opportunity to experience the Vietnamese Cultural Center, where they will be transported to some of the most iconic landscapes from different regions of Vietnam.

Everyone is welcome to attend this free community event!

OC Sheriff’s Department’s New Housing Unit for Military Veterans

Last Monday, I visited the Orange County Sheriff's Department’s new Housing Unit for Military Veterans (HUMV), which will provide housing and programs targeted to help incarcerated veterans stay out of jail for good.

All the Deputies assigned to the HUMV unit will be veterans or active duty service members. I’m glad to see the Sheriff improve services for our veterans, and to all who are helping keep them out of jail, including the Rancho Santiago Community College District, Working Wardrobes, Orange County Rescue Mission, Orange County Probation Department, and others!

5th Annual Cambodian Family Breakfast

Last month, over 100 kids received presents at the 5th Annual Cambodian Family breakfast!

Seeing the smiles on every kid’s face is very rewarding. That is why I love sponsoring events such as this one. Special thanks to Executive Director Vattana Peong and our partner CalOptima for your exceptional work.
