A message to the Residents of the Second Supervisorial District:

As you know, former Second District Supervisor Michelle Steel won the congressional election for the 48^th Congressional District.  She was sworn in to Congress on January 3rd, and now a vacancy exists for the elected Supervisor position.  A special election will be held on March 9^th to fill the remainder of the term, which is up in 2022. 

During this transition period we have a fully functional office with staff  ready to serve our residents and cities in the District.  Please don’t hesitate to call us with your questions, concerns, and requests.  We will happily do our very best to assist you with county matters.  Our office number is 714-834-3220.  More information can be found at our county website:  d2.ocgov.com.    

March 9, 2021: Special Election Set to Fill 2nd District Vacancy

Chairman Andrew Do acknowledged outgoing Supervisor Michelle Steel, now U.S. Representative for California's 48th Congressional District, for her service as Chair in 2020, responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.

A special election will be held on March 9, 2021 to fill the 2nd District supervisorial seat, previously held by Steel. Under the direction of Chairman Do, a team of County staff will assume the constituent responsibilities prior to the election.
