Brea Opens Bike Trail Section
Last weekend, the City of Brea opened Segment 3 of its six-segment bike trail to the public. This is an important milestone toward the completion of the larger OC Loop, a planned, seamless 66-mile bicycle connection throughout north Orange County. More than 70% of this trail has been completed. With Segment 1 already open to the west, four additional sections will begin construction soon to close a four-mile gap of the Loop in total.

See the map for more information.

OC PetTrack App

The Board of Supervisors are happy to introduce you to the PetTrack app! This app can be downloaded onto your phone and links directly to OC Animal Care’s website. From this app, members of the public can search lost pets, adoptable pets and our “Happily Ever After” page. Users can also “follow” an animal by adding them to their watch list. We are excited about this new modality that permits members of the public to search for animals when away from their computer or to merely look up information on animals while navigating through OC Animal Care.

Below is the link to our page to download the app to your iPhone or Android mobile device.

Recruitment Now Open For CalOptima Board of Directors
Recruitment is now open for the CalOptima Board of Directors. A county-organized health system, CalOptima serves more than 770,000 low-income children, adults, seniors and persons with disabilities. CalOptima was formed in 1995 in response to a healthcare system that was struggling to meet the needs of vulnerable Orange County residents. Today, CalOptima has grown to be the second largest health insurer in Orange County, but stayed true to its mission of providing members with access to quality health care services.

To apply for a seat on the CalOptima Board of Directors, please complete an application by April 15, 2016. Applications can be found on the Health Care Agency’s website at http://ochealthinfo.com/caloptima.
