Orange County Vice Chairman Doug Chaffee to host the OC One-Stop Mobile Unit to Connect Jobseekers with Workforce Solutions.

This event will be held in collaboration with Orange County Workforce Development Board, Orange County One-Stop, America’s Job Center of California, and the WIOA Youth Program- Ready SET OC.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA (April 23, 2021) – Orange County Vice Chairman Doug Chaffee, in partnership with Orange County One-Stop System and People Assisting The Homeless (PATH) Navigation Center in Placentia, will sponsor a OC One-Stop Mobile Unit on Wednesday, May 5, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the PATH Navigation Center located at 731 S. Melrose St, Placentia, CA 92870. The event is free and open to the public.

With a fully accessible 12-station state-of-the-art computer lab, the OC One-Stop Mobile Unit will offer a wide array of workforce solutions for businesses and individuals by appointment like the OC One-Stop Center in Garden Grove. Services range from career training, local hiring events, Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) program enrollment, education assessments, career interest inventory, case management, labor market information, access to support services, community partner referrals, and more.

“We have seen how the pandemic has negatively impacted residents in the 4th District and throughout Orange County with many experiencing unemployment. It is my pleasure to host this virtual job fair and the mobile unit to PATH to ensure all job seekers of the 4th District have access to job opportunities. I look forward to a successful event!"

Orange County Vice Chairman Doug Chaffee represents the Fourth District, which includes the cities of Fullerton, La Habra, Brea, Placentia, and portions of Anaheim and Buena Park. In his first term, Vice Chairman Chaffee has combatted homelessness by supporting the creation of and allocating funding to the Buena Park and Placentia Navigation Centers and during the COVID-19 pandemic, he provided more than $15 million to small businesses in the Fourth District and school Districts in the Fourth District with technology grants to assist students with distance learning during the pandemic.
