Recap: Annual Spring Kids Fishing Derby
Vice Chairman Chaffee with the Biggest Catch Winner and his family. 🎣 What an incredible day we had at Tri-City Regional Park for our Spring District 4 Kids Fishing Derby! It was heartwarming to see hundreds of young anglers, alongside their parents, grandparents, and other family members, casting their lines with enthusiasm and skill. Congratulations to our talented winners - the champions of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd places, and a special shoutout to the winner of the smallest catch of the day!🏆 This event was a fantastic opportunity for our community to come together, enjoy nature, and learn more about fishing. I'm grateful to the City of Placentia, and other government agencies for joining us and providing valuable information and resources to our attendees. A huge thank you to Orange County Parks, Angler Chronicles, Bite On Fishing, the Orange County Employees Association (OCEA), and our District 4 volunteers for helping to make this day a success! Stay tuned for our annual fall Kids Fishing Derby coming this September!

Orange County Commission on the Status of Women and Girls
I spearheaded the establishment of an Orange County Commission on the Status of Women and Girls, which was approved at the March 12 Orange County Board of Supervisors meeting. The commission will be tasked to publish an annual report to the Board of Supervisors and the general public. The commission will conduct comprehensive research into the experiences of Orange County women and girls to evaluate the gender inequities in areas such as health, employment, education, and sports. By addressing these issues, we can create a more inclusive community and ensure women and girls in Orange County have equal opportunities, access to resources, and representation in all spheres of society. I look forward to the great work the commission will conduct in advancing gender equity and women’s empowerment. I admit that I am shy at first, but once you give me some time, I blossom like a flower in spring, ready to embark on countless adventures with my paw-in-hand companion. They say not to wear your heart on your sleeve, but I'm breaking the rule because when I love, I pour my whole heart into it. Affection is my middle name, and I promise to shower my adopter with unconditional love and devotion. If you're ready to embark on a journey of companionship and unwavering love, let's meet!
