County Family,

The results of the first-ever Countywide employee survey are in and they contain many positive indicators that we can celebrate. Employees clearly remain confident that they are providing quality services to the residents they serve. The survey also sheds light on opportunities for change that are thoughtful, strategic and worthy of further study.

The high level of participation also reflects positively on employee dedication to the County’s success. A total of 6,464 employees completed the survey yielding us a response rate of 37.2% - well above the average for surveys of this kind.

Some of the major insights from the survey include:
  • County employees, as a whole, are generally positive about the services they provide to the community
  • Concerns exists about whether the public has an accurate perception about the County’s services
  • Generally, employees indicated they would choose the County for their career again
