Thank You to Our Volunteers!
The COVID-19 pandemic has left many residents, especially seniors, stuck at home. That’s meant difficulty getting the essentials. Our community responded with an incredible spirit of volunteerism and support through our Neighborhood Pop-Up Pantries, which provided residents with everyday items, including diapers, toilet paper, disinfecting wipes, and food items. This effort was spearheaded by our dedicated group of neighbors who volunteered as Neighborhood Captains. They set up tables and restock pantries. Earlier this month, we honored our Neighborhood Captains on a video call. A shout out and thank you to all of our volunteers that served our community!

Celebrating First District Fathers
Our goal as fathers is to be courageous enough to give our kids the time and opportunities, they need to cultivate good qualities for themselves. Raising my two daughters taught me so much and afforded me the opportunity to pass along core values I believe help make our society and world a better place. Check out the video below:

Supreme Court Rules DACA Will Not End
Last Thursday, the Supreme Court ruled that the action to rescind the DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) program was insufficient, and therefore the DACA program continues to stand. In 2018, I wrote an OP-ED to support a DACA deal to help these recipients find a pathway to citizenship. I, myself am an immigrant to the United States as a refugee from war-torn Vietnam. To simply remove DACA recipients back to their mostly unknown countries is not what this county is about. Let’s help define and create proper immigration policies and procedures that grants them the ability to be fully legal Americans. Read more about it here: https://www.ocregister.com/2018/01/28/even-in-conservative-orange-county-republicans-want-a-daca-deal/
