OC Launches Second COVID-19 Testing Super Site
Today, Orange County opened a second large-scale testing operation at the Orange County Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa. This new site is the result of close collaboration between the county’s COVID-19 Testing Ad Hoc Committee, consisting of Supervisor Doug Chaffee and myself, the City of Costa Mesa, and Chairwoman Steel. It is estimated that this site will provide up to 1,000 tests per day, just like at the Anaheim super site. Thank you to our partners, 360 Clinic and Fulgent Genetics, for making this critical effort possible. Hours of Operation for Costa Mesa Super Site Mondays-Fridays 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. Hours of Operation for Anaheim Super Site Tuesdays-Saturdays 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. To schedule an appointment, click here.

OC Launches Multilingual Call Center
To support equal access for all Orange County residents, the Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a proposal authored by Supervisor Doug Chaffee and I to create a multilingual call center and website registration for Orange County testing sites. While the county already offers testing and other vital resource information to our non-English speakers through the Latino Health Equity Initiative, this proposal will ensure that we get the county to move faster in making sure our residents have equal access to testing services all throughout the county. 10,000 Masks Donated to Abrazar Inc.
COVID-19 has drastically changed the daily life of our seniors. Now more than ever, they need all the support we can give them. That is why last week I visited Abrazar, Inc., a longtime provider of community centers and transportation services for seniors, to donate 10,000 masks. This donation will go a long way in protecting their staff and the seniors who still rely on their essential linkage to services. Thank you, CEO Mario Ortega and your staff, for your tireless commitment to our communities!
