OC Supervisor Vicente Sarmiento, 2nd District

Anonymous Gun Buyback

Tomorrow, May 11th, our office will host a gun buyback event at Brookhurst Community Center in Anaheim. In partnership with Orange County’s Fourth District Supervisor, Doug Chaffee, the City of Anaheim, and the Anaheim Police Department, this event will allow people to anonymously and safely dispose of unwanted firearms in exchange for gift cards.

How it works:

1. Bring your unwanted firearms: Firearms must be unloaded and in the trunk of your car or otherwise secured in the back of a vehicle.

2. Get gift card: Gift cards are based on the type of firearm. (Gift cards are limited and subject to availability).

3. No questions asked: Turning in firearms is anonymous with no identification or other documentation required.

Location: Brookhurst Community Center, 2271 Crescent Ave. Anaheim

Join us in making our communities safer by getting unwanted guns off the street. For more information, contact Anaheim Police Department Sgt. Jon McClintock at (714) 318-9897 or visit anaheim.net/buyback
