OCTA to Adjust Bus Routes in February 2018 |
OCTA is proposing adjustments to our bus service in February 2018 that will result in better service and greater efficiency in areas where demand is greatest.
In an effort to obtain input from the community and those who utilizes OCTA services, three community meetings will be held throughout the county.
In our district, we will be having a Bus Service Plan Community Meeting at 6pm on August 22nd at the Miriam Warne Community Center, 14491 Beach Blvd., Westminster.
Those who regularly use the bus services provided by OCTA are encouraged to come and share their opinions and input in order to tailor the changes to the needs of the community.

Youth Group Volunteers at County Homeless Shelter |
A youth group from The Beacon Church in Sioux Falls South Dakota traveled to Orange County last week to volunteer their time at the County’s new homeless shelter, Bridges at Kraemer Place.
The group spent their time scrubbing floors, disinfecting tables, detailing walls and furniture, and improving the quality of life for those residing at the shelter. The group even built new ping-pong tables for the residents.
Kids used sharpies, markers, and highlighters to write words of encouragement and hope on signs and flyers. These encouraging messages were given to residents and put on display.
I would like to extend a warm thank you to the volunteers from The Beacon Church in Sioux Falls for their contribution to the community and their incredible dedication to helping others, even those thousands of miles away. |
