Summer Concerts: Spot Your Supervisor

Have you enjoyed a concert in the park this summer? Supervisor Wagner sponsors several concerts in our District to engage with residents one on one and to provide the public with free access to cultural activities.

Sponsoring these alfresco summer concerts has been special for many reasons. For one, we get to relish the mild, Mediterranean climate that graces our beautiful Third District. Additionally, our community enjoys the shared experience of assembling freely and peacefully in our stunning open spaces.

Free access to the arts enriches people's lives and provides an opportunity to introduce younger generations to a whole repertoire of musical genres, ranging from jazz to pop and country to blues. Concerts in the heart of our cities give residents a safe place to gather while deepening community roots, strengthening family bonds, and creating new memories together.

Supervisor Wagner looks forward to hearing from his constituents, learning about their day-to-day lives, and exploring better ways to serve them on the Board.

If you haven't already, please come join us for an evening of uplifting music in one of our District's scenic cities:

Together, We Can Help Prevent Drownings

Drownings are preventable. Orange County faces 100+ drownings a year with the most frequent accidents in our own backyards. On July 17, Supervisor Wagner visited the Orange Senior Center to raise awareness and to help eliminate drownings throughout the County.

Kids under five and the older-but-wiser crowd are most at risk. Adult risk factors include:

  • Drugs and alcohol
  • Medical conditions
  • Underestimated swimming ability
  • Swimming alone

Supervisor Wagner has been proactive about drowning prevention this summer, partnering with the Orange County Fire Authority and the Drowning Prevention Task Force to let people know how critical it is to always swim with a friend.

Thank you to OCFA, the Orange Senior Center, Maria Minaglia from OC Health Care Agency, and all the hardworking staff who helped relay this vital safety message to our invaluable community.

Stay cool in the pool and please stay safe!
