Drop Off Hazardous Waste for Free Admission to Discovery Cube OC |
Supervisor Todd Spitzer encourages you to celebrate National Drive-Thru Day with OC Waste and Recycling on Tuesday July 24 from 9am—3pm at the OC Hazardous Waste Collection Center in Irvine, 6411 Oak Canyon.
This is a great and convenient opportunity to safely get rid of unused paints, pesticides, batteries, and other hazardous waste items. Household Hazardous Waste Collection Centers (HHWCC) are located in Anaheim, Huntington Beach, Irvine, and San Juan Capistrano. Upon arriving at a HHWCC, workers will take care of proper disposal and the best part is you don’t even have to take a step outside of your vehicle. It doesn’t get much easier than that plus while supplies last, visitors receive a FREE battery bucket and child’s admission to the Discovery Cube OC.
OC Waste and Recycling understands the importance of proper hazardous waste disposal and hopes to educate others and assist where needed. Hazardous waste mistakenly thrown in the landfill can have severely adverse effects on the environment. The Household Hazardous Waste Collection Centers operate every Tuesday through Saturday from 9am—3pm (except during rain events). Follow OCWaste on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for other recycling events, tips and promotions. For more information visit www.oclandfills.com or call 714-834-4000. |
